JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY:

The key responsibilities include supervising your team in all aspects of moving materials in and out of the building ensuring the customer accurate and timely delivery of product. Responsible to effectively lead the shipping & receiving departmental functions including the status of materials and transactions, the flow of warehouse operations including supervising receiving product, picking, packing, shipping, coordinating, scheduling and training of employees. Additionally, the supervisor will oversee inventory counting and general functions of keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, and ready to fulfill orders.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

• Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment ensuring accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
• Ability to oversee and document processes and procedures, including but not limited to reviewing shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Work with our management team to identify key initiatives and implement plans to meet the company’s strategic goals by managing projects to achieve continuous improvements on key measures.
• Resolve issues regarding shipped orders.
• Ensure / verify pre-start inspections on forklifts are completed and recorded prior to start of the shift.
• Maintain safe work practices
• Assist in training & mentoring newer employees
• Ensure compliance to regulations and company policies.
• Present a professional image of the Company, and a personal commitment to the safety and well-being of all employees.
• Participate in continuous improvements, 5S and 8 Waste initiatives, including and not limited to processes, production flow etc.
• Support the Health & Safety Program, report any hazards to the Plant Manager immediately

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
