Job Description
Custom Strut is a metal roll forming operation that manufactures parts for the construction industry.
The shipping and receiving clerk will need to be able to accurately fill out paper work and use basic math skills efficiently. Able to drive forklift or powered pallet jack as necessary to load, unload, stack materials or products.
Responsibilities and Duties
Some job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Properly prepare orders for shipment, verifying item quantity and quality
- Correctly identify outgoing orders as to recipient
- Fabricate containers for secure shipping of some items
- Load and unload trucks and containers
- Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages and communicate with shipper to resolve these issues.
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies
- Safely operate powered forklift
- Clean up work area at end of each workday
- Perform various other tasks when required
Qualifications and Requirements
- Drug free workplace including THC
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Fork lift ability is a plus
