Crane Inspector
Location: Kansas City, MO
Summary:
Custom Truck One Source has openings for a highly qualified and motivates Crane Technician. This position will primarily focus on the testing and inspection of new truck mounted construction cranes, buckets, and diggers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- always Maintain a safe work environment.
- Perform annual crane, bucket and digger inspections and certifications.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in the repair of truck mounted crane products, buckets and diggers.
- Should be Familiar with hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems on crane
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a valid driver's license. CDL preferred
- National/Manitowoc/Terex/Altec/Grove experience and training a plus
- Basic computer knowledge preferred
- Must have own hand tools
- Must be able to work overtime and some Saturdays
- Attention to detail and must possess a strong work ethic
- Experience reading and interpreting parts lists, manufactures repair
- Manuals, diagrams and electrical schematics
- Maintain accurate records
- Must be able to read and understand crane load charts
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to use carts, forklifts, hand truck, pallet, jack and equipment of such nature
- Frequent lifting of 60-100 pounds
- Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 8 hours per day
- Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes.
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
