Are you a driven candidate with solid Parts Sales experience? If so, we are looking for you! We are growing rapidly and looking for an experienced Outside Parts Sakes who will partner with our growing team. The role is located at our Kansas City, MO location. You will support all branches in parts assistance.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
You understand the heavy equipment business and have a drive for being an active part of solutions. You set the bar high and set an example for other leaders and colleagues on how to work collaboratively with the highest level of integrity.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Meet or exceed objectives for parts sales established by Custom Truck One Source.
• Actively solicits new parts customers.
• Use all reasonable methods of prospecting for truck and equipment parts customers on a daily basis primarily via sales calls to individuals and businesses within geographically specific area assigned.
• Follows up with and provides ongoing service to existing customers.
• Writes complete sales orders, secures deposits, and processes paperwork in accordance with established Custom Truck One Source policies.
• Prepares purchaser statements.
• Delivers equipment and truck parts to customers.
• Attends sales and training meetings.
• Prepares and turns in to the Parts Manager outside sales call reports, listings who was called, what parts were quoted, and parts in stock available for sale, if applicable.
• Continually studies truck and equipment parts specifications to improve knowledge of product performance and applications.
• Notifies Parts Manager of essential parts to have in stock.
• Participates in all available training programs.
• Works with all departments in harmony.
• Coordinates the completion of parts sales within prescribed cost and time limits.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Must have a working knowledge and understanding of the Company’s safety requirements for this position.
EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience working in a parts department.
• Experience working in heavy truck and equipment industry. Exposure to hydraulics helpful.
• Must have basic computer skills. (Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel)
• Willing to work overtime and an occasional Saturday when needed.
• Two years of truck and equipment parts sales experience
• One year in a truck dealership parts sales position
