Work Schedule: M-F 7am-3:30pm with overtime as needed
Job Summary:
This position works as part of the Parts Cutter Team to handle raw lumber and process the millwork side of creating custom cabinetry. In this role you will assist an experienced Machine Operator to carry out the responsibilities of cutting raw lumber into useable pieces for custom cabinet projects. Will lift/carry/move lumber around from storage to machine on a regular basis.
Essential Functions:
· Machines parts.
· Operates woodworking machinery to millwork raw lumber.
· Reads and interprets shop drawings.
· Operates shop computers and software.
· Gathers lumber for storage area to load machine for daily projects.
· Performs labeling process onto cut board pieces.
· Adheres to safety protocols and conducts work in safe manner.
· All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
· Previous experience with solid wood and custom cabinetry preferred
· Must be able to operate woodworking machinery, equipment and hand tools
· Ability to read/interpret shop drawings, and utilize and read tape measure
· Ability to lift large lumber pieces and cabinets with assistance
· Must have keen eye for detail and producing high quality products (free of defects/errors)
· Ability to identify multiple species of wood
