Pharmacy Technician

Independent compounding and retail pharmacy would like to hire a pharmacy technician. You do not have to be licensed as a pharmacy technician to apply and experience in pharmacy is not a prerequisite!

Candidates should aspire to make a difference in this small business. Attention to detail and an aptitude for customer service is vital.

This is a full-time position, but willing to consider a part time position for an afternoon/evening shift (i.e. 2:00pm - 6:00pm). Rotating Saturday shift required (approximately once per month) from 10:00AM to 2:00PM.

This position requires a moderate amount of on-the-job training; as such, we are seeking candidates that are seeking long-term employment (minimum one year).

Availability:

Full-time position (35-40 hours) Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9:00AM to 6:00PM and Saturday 10:00AM to 2:00PM (approximately once per month). Part-time would be from 1:00 or 2:00 to 6:00PM

Obtaining Pharmacy Technician License:

You do not have to be licensed as a pharmacy technician to apply. Once an offer of employment is made to a candidate, we will assist the candidate in obtaining a license as a pharmacy technician from the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy and cover cost of obtaining a license. Applicants will need to pass a background check, have their fingerprints taken at the Idaho State Police in Meridian, provide High School Diploma (or higher), and complete the online application.

Desired Qualifications:

-Work history demonstrating the ability to hold a job for longer periods of time (i.e., one year or longer)

-Excellent interpersonal skills and/or history of working directly with customers

Physical Requirements:

Requires high energy and working effectively in a fast-paced environment. This includes standing and walking for 8-10 hours per day.

Bending, lifting, and the ability to lift large totes with arrival of daily shipments (up to 30lbs).

Ability to move quickly from one task to another according to the needs of the pharmacy.
