About the Role
CVP is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Imaging Specialist to join our team in providing high-quality cardiology services at the VA Puget Sound Healthcare System.
This full-time, on-site position requires expertise in cardiac imaging and a commitment to delivering exceptional care to our Veterans.
The successful candidate will perform echocardiogram studies, stress testing, treadmill testing, bubble studies, and definity studies using advanced GE Ultrasound Systems.
The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cardiac ultrasound examinations including transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and other specialized cardiac imaging studies.
- Conduct stress testing, treadmill testing, bubble studies, and definity studies.
- Obtain and record patient medical history relevant to the examination.
- Prepare patients for procedures and explain examination processes.
- Position patients properly to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
- Operate GE Ultrasound System equipment and related technology.
- Document findings and maintain accurate patient records in VA electronic systems.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- A registration as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficiency with GE Ultrasound Systems.
- Experience performing various cardiac diagnostic procedures.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
