Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
CVP is seeking a Medical Echocardiogram Sonographer Technician to provide cardiology services at the VA Puget Sound Healthcare System.
About the Role
- Perform echocardiogram studies for Veterans at the VA Puget Sound Healthcare System.
- Conduct various cardiac diagnostic procedures, including Echocardiograms, Stress Testing, Treadmill Testing, Bubble Studies, and Definity Studies.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and record patient medical history relevant to the examination.
- Prepare patients for procedures and explain examination processes.
- Position patients properly to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
- Operate GE Ultrasound System equipment and related technology.
- Document findings and maintain accurate patient records in VA electronic systems.
- Verify the mathematical accuracy of all calculations using established protocols.
Requirements
- Registration as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficiency with GE Ultrasound Systems.
- Experience performing various cardiac diagnostic procedures.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
