We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team in providing services at the Iowa City VA Health Care System (ICVAHCS) in Iowa City, IA.
This position offers the opportunity to serve our Nation's Veterans while working with state-of-the-art equipment in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT procedures and routine imaging duties during normal facility clinic hours (7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday)
- Provide on-call coverage outside normal clinic hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Maintain and demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of CT imaging procedures
- Follow all established patient safety and infection control standards of care
- Complete appropriate quality management/ performance improvement documentation pertaining to all procedures, complications and examination outcomes
- Attend required staff meetings as directed by facility Chief of Service, Chief of Staff, or designee
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Current ARRT(CT) certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current, unrestricted state license/registration as a Radiologic Technologist
- Ability to successfully undergo a Government sponsored background investigation (US Citizenship Required)
- Ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently
