Overview
CVP is seeking three (3) Echo Sonographers to join our team providing cardiology medical echocardiogram (ECHO) support services at the VA Puget Sound Healthcare System. This position will serve Veterans at multiple locations including Seattle VAMC, Everett CBOC, and American Lake VA.
Primary location: VA Puget Sound Healthcare System, Seattle, WA, 1660 S Columbian Way, Seattle, WA 98108

Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures and examinations
- Operate sophisticated computerized equipment to create images of the heart and related blood vessels
- Record and process cardiac diagnostic data for physician interpretation
- Maintain proper documentation of examinations and observations
- Ensure quality control of echo imaging equipment
- Assist in patient positioning and preparation
- Explain procedures to patients and address any concerns
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Follow established departmental protocols and procedures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for a government security clearance
- Completion of a full-time training course of at least 24 months in diagnostic cardiac sonography from an accredited program
- Current registration as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS and/or CCI
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Physical ability to assist with patient positioning and equipment operation
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong team collaboration
Education: Associate degree or certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from a program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or other DOE-recognized accrediting agency
Certifications:
- Required: Current RDCS certification through ARDMS and/or CCI
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
