The Audit Director will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of our internal audit function. Reporting directly to the Chief Audit Executive, this seasoned professional will lead the development of our risk-focused audit plan, oversee the daily operations of our Financial Internal Audit Team, and provide guidance on governance, risk management, and controls. With a focus on delivering high-quality audit results, this individual will drive improvement initiatives, foster collaboration with stakeholders, and promote a culture of continuous learning within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Audit Executive in developing the annual risk-focused audit plan
- Administer and direct the daily operating functions of the Financial Internal Audit Team
- Provide research and guidance on setting objectives, scope, and testing methodology
- Coach internal audit team members on developmental goals
- Develop and update Corporate Audit Policies and Procedures
- Manage the completion of the annual Corporate Risk Assessment and Audit Plan
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need a strong background in auditing, finance, or business, preferably with an MBA. Certification as a CPA, CIA, CFE, CRCM, or CFSA is highly desirable. You'll also require advanced knowledge of financial accounting and reporting concepts, internal control identification, evaluation, and testing, as well as expertise in applying professional auditing principles and practices. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and lead cross-functional teams.
