About the Role
We are seeking a visionary and results-driven leader to spearhead our sales and marketing efforts. Your primary responsibility will be to lead our sales teams, collaborating with colleagues to set ambitious goals and drive revenue growth through the sale of existing and new services to current and new customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, customers, and industry partners.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of our range of services and the deregulated electricity markets to identify sales prospects and understand business drivers.
- Promote CES's operational and software-platform offerings through various marketing initiatives, including events, product launches, email marketing, and partner marketing activities.
- Represent CES at industry events to enhance or initiate customer relationships and expand our market presence.
- Analyze competition, sales opportunities, and marketing efforts to inform strategic decisions and increase overall sales.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 5 years of experience leading Sales and Marketing teams in high-value software services, preferably in the energy sector.
- Strong expertise in sales planning, presentations, strategic selling, and contract negotiations.
- Proven ability to present to senior management at prospective companies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of deregulated wholesale electric markets in the US and Canada, as well as familiarity with generation developers, operators, and energy utilities.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field; sales certifications are a plus.
- A track record of exceeding sales targets while ensuring customer satisfaction and integrity.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Salesforce (or similar CRM).
- Willingness to travel 25-30%, primarily in the mid-Atlantic and northeast US.
