Internship Experience
As a CMS Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting project teams with key tasks throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. This role offers exposure to document management, subcontractor coordination, compliance tracking, and field operations support.
Requirements
Responsibilities May Include:
- Create project startup checklists, schedule kickoff meetings, and monitor deliverables
- Establish and maintain organized project file systems
- Support project tracking systems and documentation workflows
- Assist with drafting and maintaining preconstruction documents such as:
- Quality Control Plans
- Accident Prevention Plans
- Demolition Plans
- Environmental and Waste Management Plans
- Track and process submittals in coordination with the Project Manager or QC Manager
- Generate and follow up on Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Help track and process change orders
- Assist in subcontract drafting and vendor coordination
- Maintain compliance with document control and contract requirements
- Support budget entry and updates within the project accounting system
- Contribute to project closeout documents and end-of-project summaries
- Perform other duties as assigned
