Assistant Child Care Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children and a strong understanding of child development principles. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for toddlers, implementing educational activities, and fostering positive relationships with children and their families. The Child Care Teacher will play a crucial role in supporting children's growth in various areas, including literacy, math, and social skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning in areas such as literacy, math, and behavior management.
• Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Utilize Montessori principles to guide children's learning experiences and foster independence.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
• Observe and assess children's development to tailor activities to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational program and share best practices.
• Support children with special education needs by adapting lessons and providing additional resources as necessary.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of toddler care principles and child development theories.
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies.
• Experience in literacy education and math instruction is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff members.
• Knowledge of Montessori methods is a plus but not required.
• A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; relevant certifications will be considered.
