Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning in areas such as literacy, math, and behavior management.
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Utilize Montessori principles to guide children's learning experiences and foster independence.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Observe and assess children's development to tailor activities to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational program and share best practices.
- Support children with special education needs by adapting lessons and providing additional resources as necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of toddler care principles and child development theories.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies.
- Experience in literacy education and math instruction is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff members.
- Knowledge of Montessori methods is a plus but not required.
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; relevant certifications will be considered.
