System Engineer

Cutting Edge is seeking a mid-level or senior-level System Engineer with experience in verification & validation of system requirements, interface development, and system integration across hardware and software domains.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate Client’s customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces.
• Participate in the plan, design, and development of systems and verify systems development and system solutions.
• Develop, maintain, and identify improvements in the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes.
• Implement verification and validation of system requirements with proper flow down and traceability for system, hardware, and software components to include verification, validation, and test plans and schedules, procedures and documentation, execution, and requirements closeout.
• Support interface development, documentation, and compliance and system integration across hardware and software domains to ensure system success with ground segment.
• Provide operations support with logistics, supportability, and sustainment or maintenance, including operator training and transition procedures, plans, and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
• B.S. in Engineering or other related field
• 5 years of systems engineering, software engineering experience
• Experience with Agile methodology
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence

Salary range for mid-career level is anticipated to be $125,000 - $160,000.

Salary range for senior level is anticipated to be $165,000 - $195,000.

Final pay for this role will depend on years of experience, qualifications such as education and relevant certifications, and market conditions.
