L.E. Smith, a subsidiary of Cutting Edge Countertops, has been a manufacturer and distributor of high-quality countertops and surfaces since 1950. A lot has changed over the decades, but our commitment to our clients has never wavered.
L.E. Smith is looking for a 3rd shift Fabricator who is able to work from 9pm - 7am, Sunday through Wednesday nights. A Fabricator plays a vital role in the success of our business; you will work with a team to fabricate countertops using a variety of hand tools, such as routers, sanders, pneumatic staple guns, and hand files.
Responsibilities:
- Operating sanders, miter saws, table saw, and routers
- Cutting and assembling countertops to specified sizes
- Cutting and applying build-up
- Banding countertops
- Fabrication of applied edge tops
- Installation of sinks into countertops
- Gluing and laying laminate
- Cutting and finishing backsplashes.
- Applying adhesive and silicone for solid surface tops
- Filing/sanding and cleaning tops for final quality check
- Basic CNC Machine operation
- Cleaning and maintaining work areas

Requirements of the Role:
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
- The ability to stand/walk for a minimum of 9 hours.
- Must have good vision, color vision, hearing, speaking and finger dexterity skills.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, climb, kneel, reach, and push.
- Ability to read, write, follow instructions, perform mathematical calculations.
- Ability to read prints, a tape measure and operate hand tools.
- Good Attendance
