The IT Help Desk handles remote and onsite service and support needs for our customers. This relates to all technology, to include: workstations, servers, printers, networks, and vendor specific hardware and software.

  • IT support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications, as well as virtual environments built on Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Support services for Microsoft related technologies: Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, Office 365, etc.
  • Implement and support disaster recovery solutions such as Veeam
  • Technical services and support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, WiFi and security
  • Remote access solution support: VPN, Remote Desktop Services, and Citrix

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
  • Work through a daily schedule in ConnectWise that has been established through the dispatch process
  • Enter all work as service tickets into ConnectWise

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required

  • Professional IT Certifications, from vendors such as: Microsoft, CompTIA, Citrix, SonicWALL
  • Diagnosis skills of technical issues
  • Network fundamentals and troubleshooting
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
  • Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast moving environment

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and listen. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand, walk, and drive or ride in a motor vehicle. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Must have the ability to travel, sometimes with short notice and be able to provide after-hours support and weekend support as needed.
