Accounting and Financial Operations - Healthcare / Health Services

Job Purpose

To support the CFO in managing all financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and enhancing financial performance across the market. The role includes oversight of shared services, lab, and GME entities, as well as leading the annual budgeting process and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the market's financial processes, including both long-term and short-term planning, and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
• Oversee finance teams for lab and GME, working closely with hospital controllers to optimize financial performance across the market.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end close, balance sheet reconciliation, and performance analysis, identifying areas of shortfall and assisting in developing mitigation plans.
• Lead the preparation of the annual operating budget, including gathering input from department leaders and ensuring efficient achievement of budget goals.
• Maintain compliance with SOX and internal audit requirements, conducting self-audit risk assessments and regular reviews.
• Collaborate with the CFO on key initiatives, supporting financial operations management, and stepping in to perform CFO duties when necessary.
  
  

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospital accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Ability to lead and mentor finance teams and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial performance.
