Qualifications
- Associate degree or relevant technical degree required.
- 2 to 5 years of 3D design-modelling experience.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience with Revit preferred, but SolidWorks or Inventor and other 3D software are acceptable.
- Planning drawing work for the mechanical team.
- Preparation of mechanical flow diagrams and drawings to support equipment specifications.
- Proficiency in engineering sketches and calculations, general arrangements, and plant layout drawings.
- Design Development: Develop designs in the preparation of drawings, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Drawing Standards: Maintain drawing and design standards based on the Mechanical Department's current standards.
- Project Management: Notify the Project Manager (PM) and Leads about scope changes.
- Detail Checking: Check detail drawings and revisions to drawings; act as the engineers' first detail checker, reviewing details for completeness and accuracy.
- Piping Layouts: Develop piping layouts and piping schematics per the lead engineer's directions.
- Coordination: Assemble available information as required for drawing production, including General Arrangement (GA) and equipment drawings; coordinate with structural engineers and mechanical designers to resolve discrepancies.
- Drawing Review: Review drawings of other disciplines for mechanical requirements and interface.
- Document Management: Oversee filing of production drawings and develop issue folders for issuing drawings.
- Communication: Make records of meetings and phone conversations.
