Job Summary
- As a Technical Support Engineer, you will provide customer support for onsite installations, repairs, and maintenance of semiconductor equipment This position requires full-time presence at your assigned office(s), worksite(s), or territory.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent experience (e.g., technical training, military training, or technical school) plus 1-2 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of the Linux operating system is preferred for operating and troubleshooting the system.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field (e.g., semiconductor manufacturing equipment).
- Experience with electronic testing tools is required.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Comfort working in a cleanroom environment most of the day (wearing a full cleanroom suit, facemask, gloves, and safety glasses).
- Maintain equipment within factory standard specifications.
- Instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of the system equipment.
- Serve as a company liaison with customers on assigned projects (e.g., installations and major component replacements).
- Perform complex repairs, maintenance, or unit replacements according to factory procedures independently and with others.
- Provide technical support to customers and respond to questions regarding operation procedures, equipment malfunctions, and other technical issues to minimise equipment downtime and ensure positive customer relations.
- May require domestic travel (a valid driver's licence and acceptable driving record are necessary). As this position requires driving for company business as an essential function, compliance with company safety guidelines and policies is required.
