The CAD Lead is responsible for overseeing a team of CAD Designers, specialising in AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Vault for industrial control panel designs. This role ensures the coordination and efficient allocation of work within the team while upholding high standards and quality in CAD design and documentation.

- Support engineering projects by designing and documenting Electrical Schematics, PI&Ds, and panel layouts.
- Develop and maintain procedures for enforcing CAD standards.
- Analyse and implement productivity enhancements and customizations, including automated quality checks.
- Provide technical expertise for transferring CAD data to Production CNC machines.
- Train internal users on corporate CAD standards, new software, upgrades, and best practices.
- Offer production and technical CAD support for all CAD software.
- Conduct regular CAD meetings to share new information with the CAD team.
- Schedule CAD Designer resources effectively across various projects.
- Communicate clearly and work collaboratively with team members.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Two-year degree in CAD Technology.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience with AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical.
- Experience with UL508A Control Panel design.
- A servant-leadership attitude is preferred.
