SUMMARY:

Maintenance Technician

· Maintains and repairs aggregate processing plant and machinery

· Maximizes use of time by planning work and setting priorities

· Other duties as assigned by Management

Job Description

Responsible for repairing a variety of processing equipment used in aggregate mining as part of a team or small group. Perform daily inspection of service vehicle. Use a wide variety of skills to maintain or repair equipment used to process aggregates, including conveyors, screen decks, cone crushers, feeders, and pumps. Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to supervisor; clean equipment.

Will be a lot of fixing electrical cords, setting up new 110v, repairing plugs, diagnosing when fuses are blown or machinery shuts down, etc.

· Prioritizes SAFETY, then QUALITY, followed by PRODUCTION.

· Ensures a safe work environment for self and others at all times.

· Ability to conduct pre-shift safety inspections of equipment and vehicles. Ensures proper maintenance and reporting.

Position Qualifications and Physical Requirements

1. Must be able to read blue prints

2. Have good math skills

3. Position requires accurate use of a tape measure

4. Must be able to drive and use lifting devises such as a Forklift etc

5. Do basic repair on welding equipment

6. Have excellent mechanical and analytical ability.

• Three years of experience in industrial maintenance.
• Must have Electrical Experience and high voltage experience (120/240v)
• Able to work with little supervision.
• Able to work in a variety of settings including at height, in tight spaces and awkward positions.
• Lift approximately 70 lbs., to carry parts and tools to all areas of the plant.
• Climb as high as 75 feet from the ground on a ladder.
• Must be able to work overtime
• Work outside in all weather conditions consisting of heat, cold, dust, wet, and dry.
• Must be able to work flexible hours with normal shift being 6am -2:30pm
• Must be able to perform duties in a safe manner. This job requires the ability to wear a hard hat, safety glasses or goggles, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, safety reflective vest, welding helmet and leathers, respirator, full body harness.

Pay Scale: Based on Ability and Experience.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• high voltage electrical: 4 years (Required)
• repairing welding equipment: 4 years (Required)
• Industrial maintenance: 4 years (Required)
• trouble shooting CNC machines: 4 years (Preferred)
