POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Services Float will provide support to all areas of the Revenue Cycle Business Unit. High quality customer service and overall efficiency will result in customer satisfaction and will help Cuyuna Regional Medical Center achieve its goals.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:
-
Successful completion of the general clerical, basic math, 10-key and data entry standards administered by Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Human Resources staff. Ability to properly operate all equipment required for this position.

Special Skills and Aptitudes:

Promotes positive Medical Center image to all customers (includes patients/residents, physicians, visitors and coworkers).

Greets and directs customers and visitors to required departments effectively and politely.

Releases information as permitted by Medical Center policy.

Demonstrates resourcefulness in emergency situations.

Answers phones promptly with proper phone etiquette and routes caller to appropriate staff member.

Retrieves, sorts and distributes mail appropriately.

Assist customers with completing release of information forms for HIM staff.

Sort, scans and files documents electronically as requested.

Ability to perform routine and complex duties as assigned.

Ability to recognize problems, identify the cause and implement solution.

Ability to deal with others in a courteous and tactful manner.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Charge entry of clinic and hospital charges as needed.
-
Assist with greeting customers at the front desk in the Business Support Services Building and routing to appropriate staff member if needed.

Answer phone calls and redirect as assigned.

Make copies when needed and assist HIM as directed.

Assist patients with completion of release of information authorization form for HIM staff.

Retrieve, sort, and distribute mail as directed.

Sort and organize, file or scan documents in an accurate manner.
-
Order, retrieve, and organize supplies as requested.
-
Demonstrate Standards of Excellence when other duties are assigned.
The pay range for this role is $18.07 to $21.53.
