A Day in the Life of a Clinical Informatics Analyst
The Clinical Informatics Analyst plays a key role in advancing the integration of clinical information within our electronic health record (EHR), Epic-based Excellian. Collaborate with clinical departments to improve Excellian integration and workflow efficiency. Train nurses and related staff on core and ancillary clinical applications. Work closely with the Clinical Informatics team to deploy and enhance system functionality. Provide effective communication and troubleshooting support for clinical IT-related concerns. Stay updated on new system updates and ensure best practices in clinical informatics.
In addition to training and support, you will evaluate system upgrades, identify opportunities for process improvement, and facilitate compliance with evolving healthcare regulations. Youll serve as a key resource for nursing staff, helping them navigate clinical applications effectively. Your role connects technology and patient care, working to improve the adoption and usability of digital tools across the organization.
About the Department
Our small but dedicated Clinical IT team thrives on collaboration and camaraderie, working together to support the clinical technology needs of Cuyuna Regional Medical Center. We partner closely with other departments to ensure accurate and meaningful reporting is available while providing hands-on support to clinical staff who respect and value our expertise. Though we occasionally navigate challenges with the EHR, our team remains resourceful and persistent, always focused on improving workflows and enhancing patient care through effective technology solutions.

Education and Experience
Required
- Registered Nurse license in the State of Minnesota
- Effective teaching skills
Preferred
- Three years of experience as an RN in a department within surgical services.
Compensation and Benefits
The pay range listed above is the estimated starting pay range for this role. Actual pay rate offered depends on many factors including each individual employees experience level, preferred education/certifications, along with market conditions.
