A Day in the Life of a NP-Oncology
In this multifaceted role, the NP or PA will operate as a critical member of our general surgery team, primarily focusing on inpatient care, surgical assistance, follow-up visits, and consultations. Responsibilities include first or second surgical assisting in both traditional and robotic procedures, ensuring comprehensive patient care. You'll be integral to inpatient rounds, working collaboratively with a robust hospitalist and surgical team to optimize patient outcomes. The role requires effective management of patient care documentation and initiating necessary diagnostics and referrals. Expect a balanced workload spanning OR, clinical consultations, and inpatient care, within a supportive environment equipped with advanced medical technology.

Education and Experience
Required
- Successful completion of the credentialing process at CRMC
- Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistant in the state of Minnesota -OR- Certified Nurse Practitioner certification with prescriptive authority through the Minnesota Board of Nursing
- Will need to obtain DEA and ACLS or CALS if not already done
- Operating Room experience as a surgical tech
- Circulating nurse or first/second assist experience, willing to train a motivated and ambitious candidate.
