Job Title : AP Specialist
Location : South Seattle, WA (Onsite)
Salary : $58,000 - $70,000 annually
Position Overview :
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing accounts payable functions and supporting general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and the financial close process. This role ensures timely and accurate transaction processing, vendor payments, and reconciliations using NetSuite ERP , while collaborating with internal teams and vendors to maintain a compliant workflow.
Key Responsibilities :
Process A / P invoices and weekly check runs in NetSuite .
Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments, maximizing discounts where possible.
Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolving discrepancies.
Maintain vendor records, including W-9 forms and 1099 processing.
Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaids, and various financial transactions.
Reconcile general ledger accounts, including A / P, bank accounts, credit card transactions, and payroll-related entries.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely reconciliations.
Process and reconcile electronic fund transfers (ACH, wire transfers, credit cards, etc.).
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
Support audit preparation and provide requested reconciliations and documentation.
Participate in process improvements and assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications :
3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
Proficiency in NetSuite is required.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, journal entries, and reconciliations.
Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work with vendors and internal teams.
Experience with multi-entity accounting, intercompany transactions, and bank reconciliations is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
