Key Responsibilities
- Process biweekly payroll for approximately 130 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Utilize Paycom to manage payroll processing, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates or deductions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax withholdings, wage garnishments, and benefits deductions.
- Maintain and update employee records in Paycom, including time off requests, benefits enrollment, and tax information.
- Reconcile payroll reports, reviewing for discrepancies and addressing any issues in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process payroll-related journal entries.
- Support the Finance team with payroll-related tasks, including budget forecasting and preparing payroll reports.
- Assist employees with payroll inquiries, providing clear communication and resolving any issues.
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit-specific payroll regulations and policies.
- Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations to maintain compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing, with at least 1 year using Paycom.
- Experience with nonprofit payroll processing is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of payroll laws, including tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both employees and management.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
