Job Summary
The Patient Services I is responsible for initiating patient visits, coordinating patient appointments, collecting payments, and providing courteous telephone access to clinic services.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Greets patients and guests in a warm and friendly manner.
2. Registers patients, collects demographics, and updates data as needed.
3. Schedules appointments using scheduling protocols and answering scripts.
4. Enters accurate data in electronic records in accordance with protocol.
5. Obtains and verifies insurance information.
6. Collects and records payments from patients.
7. Directs phone calls to the proper destination or takes messages as per protocol.
8. Assists patients with information and education on CVCH programs.
9. Provides verbal translation in English and Spanish when required.

Additional Responsibilities (Dental Specific):
1. Schedules appointments for dental patients.
2. Confirms all dental patients the day before scheduled appointments.
3. Maintains provider schedules at number of appointments per day as per Dental Scheduling protocol.
4. Follows up on missed appointments and missed recall.

General Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
2. Works hours necessary to perform essential functions of the job.
3. Conforms to safety policies and general housekeeping practices.
4. Demonstrates sound work ethics, flexibility, and dedication to the position and community.
5. Possesses a positive attitude, is respectful, and culturally aware.

Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Certification/Licensure: N/A
Experience: One year experience in medical or business/office field or equivalent education and training/certification preferred.
Language Skills: Bilingual in English/Spanish required.
Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Knowledge of computer applications and equipment related to work. Basic computer experience; adequate typing; 10-key calculator and filing skills; ability to communicate fluently in English/Spanish.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work in collaborative team environment and/or work independently. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Salary : $150 - $200,000
