Stainless Design Concepts (SDC®), a subsidiary of CVD Equipment Corporation, is a manufacturer of Ultra-High-Purity (UHP) gas and chemical delivery systems for high-tech fabrication processes.
Stainless Design Concepts (SDC®) located in Saugerties, NY has an opportunity for a Facility Technician who is responsible for performing tasks associated with maintaining and repairing building infrastructure and equipment in a 24,000 square foot commercial facility used in the manufacture of Gas and Chemical Delivery systems for use in Semiconductor, Nanotechnology, and Industrial Deposition Process Equipment.
What you will do:
- Proactively adhere to all safety standards and established protocols.

Perform preventative and routine maintenance on equipment such as greasing bearings, replacing fans, replacing pumps, and diagnostics.

Inspect, repair, and maintain facility infrastructure including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems as well as routine tasks such as replacing light bulbs, painting, and grounds upkeep.

Safeguard production and mechanical areas ensuring safe and efficient equipment and floor space free from debris and hazards.

Build equipment crates for product shipping.
- Perform tasks associated with Production such as manufacturing, drilling, modifying sheet metal parts, mechanical assemblies, and TIP welding of stainless-steel components.
Education & Experience

Associate’s degree or technical training with a concentration in facilities maintenance or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial/industrial maintenance
Required Skill & Abilities
-
Knowledge of HVAC systems including low pressure steam boiler, hot water heat and chillers.
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and test equipment (wrenches, ratchets, screw drivers, and measuring devices)

Skillful in basic threaded iron and PVC piping.

Demonstrated knowledge of three-phase electric.

Adept carpentry skills using saws and drills.

Ability to read mechanical drawings.

Possess basic skill in Welding MIG and/or TIG.
- Essential physical requirements include lifting objects of up to 50 pounds unassisted, ability to climb ladders, and work at heights.
