We are hiring a Director of Maintenance for 9 high volume restaurants between Miami-Dade and Palm Beach County.
Job Description: Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the facilities maintenance operations, including planning, executing, and managing repairs, preventative maintenance programs, and ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of all restaurants systems, while supervising a team of maintenance technicians and coordinating with other departments to optimize resource utilization.
Specific tasks include:
- Plumbing work, janitorial, painting, flooring repair and upkeep, electrical repairs, heating and air conditioning system maintenance.
Director of Maintenance Responsibilities:
- Maintain restaurant equipment
- Supervise and manage maintenance team
- Generally maintaining and improve the quality of the restaurants and maintain areas in a clean and safe fashion
- Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment in various locations.
- Performing preventative maintenance.
- Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
- Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
- Diagnosed mechanical issues and correct them or provide solutions.
- Repair machines, equipment, or structures, as necessary.
- Adhere to all maintenance and purchasing directives including but not limited to (a) property inspections (b)
- Maintenance assignments (c) utility system readings and controls (d) landscaping and grounds (e) safety (f) special maintenance items.
Director of Maintenance Requirements:
- Proven maintenance experience.
- Valid driver’s license, have means of transportation and be able to drive commercial vans
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
- Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts
- Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches
- Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices
- Experience performing routine maintenance
- Strong organizational and follow up skills
- Eye for detail
- Professional presentation and attitude
- Ability to maintain focus while working individually
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
Physical requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 – 100 lbs. following appropriate safety procedures
- Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time
- Ability to crawl in small and tight spaces
- Work in different environmental working conditions (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain)
- Walk and climb stairs, handle, grasp and feel objects and equipment
- Reach with hands and arms
- Communicate, receive and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word
- Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions
- Repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers
- Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations, Owners, Operations Manager and Director or Human Resources
LOCATION: ALL 9 locations of CVI.CHE 105, Pollos y Jarras and INTI.MO
COMPENSATION: $60,000-70,000 Annually (Based on experience)
