About the Role
This position is responsible for supporting the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing the Pharmacy Technician Support Staff. Key responsibilities include:
- Patient Safety: Ensure that all patients receive safe and effective medication therapy.
- Pharmacy Professional Practice: Stay up-to-date with the latest pharmacy practices and regulations to provide optimal patient care.
- Regulatory Requirements: Comply with all relevant laws and regulations governing pharmacy practice.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients, customers, and colleagues.
- Personnel Management: Supervise and develop the skills of Pharmacy Technicians to ensure they have the necessary training to perform their duties effectively.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to ensure that medications are always available when needed.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An active Pharmacy License in the state in which you are employed.
- To be free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
- Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (e.g. APhA).
- A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
