Position Summary:
This role will be accountable for managing/shaping demand for products working collaboratively with key stakeholders gaining consensus on one forecast that drives the business.
• Overall responsibility for accurately managing the forecast across products, categories and SKU stratas so that the business may be appropriately planned based on that forecast.
• Work collaboratively across functions to ensure key factors that influence demand are understood and reflected in the forecast.
• Leverage data, provide insights and recommend adjustments where needed.
Responsibilities:
Achieve in-stock and inventory targets supporting sales / margin, merchandising and operational initiatives
Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization regarding item flows, JDA forecasts, seasonal plans and ad schedule
Develop and maintain baseline, promotional and seasonal forecasts using JDA Demand module
Monitor Forecast accuracy and resolve exceptions with high/low bias with the goal of improvement
Generate appropriate aggregations of forecast data, to facilitate cross-functional communication and influence change
Manage entire assortment process both new and discontinued, leveraging Product Flow team
Create insights from data analysis in order to develop actionable plans to further the business agenda
Partner with Inventory Management and Category Merchandising leadership to support a collaborative approach and culture
Partner with Finance and Supply Chain to identify financial opportunities
Demonstrate professional gravitas when attending and facilitating meetings, being a voice for enterprise solutions
Required Qualifications
-3+ years of Retail industry experience in Merchandise planning.
Preferred Qualifications
-JDA Forecasting & Replenishment.
-Master’s Degree in Supply Chain or MBA an asset Supply Chain Certification.
-Experience in an S&OP environment.
-Microsoft office: excel/access.
-Quantitative products: Mathematical and strong statistical knowledge.
-Analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Motivated self-starter.
-Ability to calculate and analyze key forecasting metrics.
-Business/financial acumen and Supply Chain knowledge
-Communication and influencing skills.
-Good judgment and decision-making ability.
-Time management and organizational skills.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required.
