CVS Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists with various tasks to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and commitment to patient care will contribute to the success of our pharmacy department.

Duties:
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Perform medication inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications
- Maintain patient profiles and medication records
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, answering questions and addressing concerns
- Prepare sterile products using aseptic technique, such as IV infusions or inhalation medications
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Adhere to all pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards of practice
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Experience:
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate
- Familiarity with medical terminology and pharmacy calculations is beneficial
- Knowledge of critical care medications and procedures is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Pharmacy: Knowledge of pharmacy operations, procedures, and regulations
- Patient service: Ability to provide exceptional customer service and address patient needs effectively
- Inhale: Experience with inhalation medications and devices
- IV infusion: Proficiency in preparing sterile products using aseptic technique for IV infusions
- Aseptic technique: Understanding of proper sterile techniques for medication preparation
- Critical care: Familiarity with critical care medications and procedures
- Pharmacy technician: Proficient in performing the duties of a pharmacy technician, including medication dispensing, inventory management, and record keeping
- Medical terminology: Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations
