Consultation Team Director/Intensive Needs Coach

Champlain Valley School District is seeking an innovative, collaborative and passionate teacher leader to join the CVSD special education team as the coordinator of our district-wide Consultation Team. The Consultation Team is CVSD’s multi-disciplinary consultation team that provides consultation, technical assistance and programming support in the area of intensive needs education across our six school communities. The successful candidate will serve as a strong advocate for inclusive practices and possess the skills and knowledge to effect systems change by building capacity. The ideal candidate will be skillful in facilitating collaborative teams as well as in program development, training, and mentoring of other team members. Knowledge of the concepts of universal design for learning, curriculum overlap, and multi-level instruction is a must. The Consultation Team Director provides instructional coaching and program development support to individual teams in the district that serve students with low-incidence disabilities. They also field referrals and manage/coordinate the team’s other highly skilled professionals.
