The Champlain Valley School District is seeking an innovative, energetic and collaborative School Psychologist to join our psychological services team. The team meets regularly to support each other, is well resourced and includes clinical psychologists and national certified school psychologists. Our team is close knit, consulting with one another as needed and regularly collaborating with teachers, speech and language pathologists and school administration.
Jobs/activities/duties are flexible based on the individual's interest and areas of expertise, and could include psycho-educational evaluations, risk assessments, autism and ADHD evaluations, student program consultation and professional development. In our work we prioritize providing succinct, readable evaluations that support students, teachers and families.
CVSD psychologists work as a team to support all of our schools (Charlotte Central School, Hinesburg Community School, Shelburne Community School, Williston Schools and Champlain Valley Union High School), with a primary assignment in one or two buildings. We are seeking a professional with experience and/or knowledge of a variety of assessment tools, school curriculum, consultation and behavioral interventions for a diverse student population ages 3-22. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills, a balance of assessment skills with consultation skills that can help build programs for students and measure their progress, and be willing to train and mentor others to expand the capacity of our system.
Masters degree and licensure as a School Psychologist is required; 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in school psychology is preferred.
