Physical Demands:
- Stockers regularly lift heavy boxes, crates, or bags, often with awkward shapes or bulk, requiring careful handling to prevent injury.
- Stockers may need to reach high shelves or bend down to stock low shelves, using stretching, squatting, or ladders/step stools.
- Stockers use carts or pallet jacks to move large quantities of stock, requiring physical strength and coordination.
- Stocking tasks, such as placing items on shelves or scanning barcodes, involve repetitive movements, which can strain wrists, shoulders, or back.
- Stockers often spend long hours standing or walking, leading to leg and back fatigue or swelling in the feet/legs.

- Reasonable accommodations are provided to support stockers with disabilities, ensuring they can perform their tasks safely and effectively.
Environmental Demands:

- Bright fluorescent lighting can be uncomfortable for stockers, especially with long hours, and may contribute to eye strain in poorly lit sections.
- Floors may be slippery due to spills, water from refrigerated sections, or product breakage, requiring caution to avoid trips and falls.
- Stockers may encounter cleaning products or chemicals, which can cause irritation if safety guidelines aren't followed.
