Role and Responsibilities:
No Experience, No Problem! CW Resources is in search of a Material Handler & Receiver who will be tasked with transferring materials between different areas within the commissary. A Commissary is a grocery store on a military installation.
- Work with a team that primarily consist of adults with disabilities and disabling conditions.
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Separate truck loads
- Keep track of items received
- Identify damaged merchandise
- Picking and packing orders
- Organizing inventory
- Operating machinery such as forklifts or pallet jacks – (CW will train)
- Ensuring that materials are stored safely and efficiently
Qualifications:
- Work well with others and be supportive.
- Be willing to learn new task!
- Follow safety rules.
Requirements:
- No experience needed
Physical Demands:
- Frequent bending, squatting, and reaching to handle materials.
- Standing or walking for long periods during shifts.
- Manual dexterity and the ability to operate material handling equipment.
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions with repetitive motions.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection may be required.
- Reasonable accommodations can be made.
Environmental Demands:
- Exposure to varying temperatures, including cold storage or heated production areas.
- Noise levels from machinery and equipment may be elevated.
- Potential exposure to dust, fumes, and other airborne particles.
- Working in both indoor and outdoor environments depending on the warehouse layout and operational needs.
