Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Columbia, SC. As an RN, you will provide essential healthcare services in a correctional setting, ensuring the well-being of inmates while offering quality care. Responsibilities:
- Conduct health assessments, including physical examinations and monitoring vital signs
- Administer prescribed medications, wound care, and other treatments
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide immediate care
- Triage patients, prioritizing care based on medical needs
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and changes in their condition
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure effective patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Provide education to patients and staff regarding health and wellness
Requirements:
- Active South Carolina RN or Compact License
- Minimum of 1-year prior nursing experience
- American Heart Association BLS Certification
- Corrections experience is a plus
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Shift Details:
- Day and night shifts available (12-hour shifts)
- Various locations within Columbia, SC, and surrounding areas
