AV Installer and Integration Technician

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Install and configure audio visual equipment including TVs, large format displays, projectors, projector screens, microphones, audio speakers, video conferencing systems, document cameras, mixers, switchers, amplifiers and control panels
• Structured cabling which includes pulling, terminating and testing all cable and wiring associated with audio/video cables
• Building audio visual racks in an organized, clean and serviceable manner
• Install interactive education-based equipment such as intelligent white boards and lecterns
• Perform / assist with conducting sound checks, adjusting microphone levels and balancing audio outputs to ensure optimal sound quality
• Coordinate with users, IT staff, server administrators, network engineers and customer / IT management as needed
• Establish and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction in a professional manner
• Travel to various job sites
• Other responsibilities as assigned

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check

• Lift and or move up to 60 pounds
• Relocate / move an 8-12 foot ladder without assistance
• Ability to climb ladders up to 15 feet tall or scaffolding up to 20 feet tall
• Ability to work in small spaces
• Walk, stand, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basis

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience of 1 year in audio visual integration is required
• Relevant certifications or technical training in audio visual technology is a plus
• CTS certification is preferred, but not required
• Have a strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Basic computer knowledge

Normal Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8-hour shift
• 10-hour shift (during summer months)
• Day shift
• Overtime (occasionally)
• Evening shift (rarely)
