Job Description

CXI Trucking has an an opening for a qualified City Dispatch Supervisor / Delivery Router / Planner at our Melrose Park, IL facility to manage dispatch operations and coordinate warehouse operations.

Days : Monday through Friday

Hours : 3 : 30p.m. to 1 : 30a.m.

Salary : Based upon Experience at time of Interview

Responsibilities will include :

Delivery Planning for 300 daily deliveries utilizing TMS Software
Driver / Route Management and Driver / Delivery Scheduling
Timely Dispatch of LTL Loads and Linehaul Trucks
Coordinate Dock Operation with driver schedule's
Assist with managing truck activity in the terminal and maintenance shop
Knowledge with Compliance with DOT OSHA and Safety policies
Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager

Requirements / Qualifications :

Candidates must have proven basic leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.

Strong Organizational / Communication / and Logistical skills with solid problem-solving abilities.

Execute all procedures and customer requirements according to SOP.

Handle issues and problems related to the movement of customer product.

Must be able to utilize proprietary and non-proprietary dispatch software.

A strong Knowledge of DOT Hazardous Material Requirements for Transport.

Flexible, Excellent communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills

Detailed oriented must be able to work quickly, independently and accurately.

Able to adhere to professional business casual dress code

A proven track record in service, attendance, and reliability

Ability to manage daily issues from large driver pool and a variety of equipment

Experience in managing operations staff

Proficient with using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Basic problem solving and organizational skills

Extensive knowledge of the Chicago metro area

Prior dispatch experience

Prior LTL leadership experience is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of quality freight handling preferred.

Able to lift 25 pounds

Education and / or Experience

1-3 years similar work experience

Microsoft Office Programs, CLI Software, Cheetah Software

Familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulations
