Contributions
As a Principal DevSecOps Engineer , you will work with our growing DevSecOps practice delivering features to support cloud and application development. We are looking for candidates with 10-12 years of experience with cloud platform services and DevSecOps practices such as build / release management, CI / CD practices, and process automation. Principal DevSecOps Engineers have a responsibility to support large-scale projects, mentor teams of engineers, be senior thought leaders, and support corporate sales, strategy, and delivery initiatives.
You will act as both a technical visionary and be responsible for hands-on delivery. Responsibilities include :
- Establishing development tools and infrastructure for automation
- Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers
- Automating and improving development, testing, deployment, and release processes
- Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
- Performing root cause analysis on complex business processes and technical components
- Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
- Identifying technical problems, performing root cause analysis, and developing software updates and ‘fixes’
- Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
- Supporting enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure through infrastructure as code including any activities around automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, and monitoring and testing, such as CI / CD
- Documenting the as-is state of the environment, performing a gap analysis, and producing artifacts that articulate options and recommendations
- Leveraging virtualization and containerization to optimize and modernize software systems
- Acting as an individual contributor and mentoring team members
- Serving as a senior thought leader in the organization, contributing to company thought leadership, best practices, and technical strategy
- Assisting in sales and technical strategy activities beyond their current program
- Engineering and implementing solutions and providing recommendations for continuous improvement for the services provided
- Presenting regular status updates and providing cross-training to other DevOps team members

The projected compensation range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
