Job Description:
Seeking a responsible, motivated, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Shift Leader at our car wash. As Shift Leader, you will oversee daily operations, supervise a team of attendants, and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. This role involves managing staff, ensuring quality control, handling customer service issues, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. A strong leader with excellent communication and problem-solving skills will thrive in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of customer service attendants, providing direction and support
- Ensure the car wash operates smoothly during your shift, including overseeing car wash equipment, staffing, and customer flow
- Handle customer complaints and issues, resolving them promptly and professionally
- Monitor staff performance and provide feedback, training, and coaching as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the car wash facility, both inside and outside
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash handling and ensuring security procedures are followed
- Train new team members and assist with scheduling and staffing needs
- Ensure that the car wash adheres to all safety and operational procedures
- Promote membership programs, upsell services, and encourage customer loyalty
- Perform other duties as needed to ensure the overall success of the shift and business operations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous experience in customer service or leadership roles, preferably in the car wash, retail, or hospitality industry
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve conflicts in a calm and professional manner
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic math skills and experience with cash handling
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks (e.g., cleaning, lifting)
