Business Development Representative (BDR)
Overview:
Cyber Shift Technologies, a leading managed IT services provider (MSP), is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team. This role is critical to generating new business and driving revenue growth. The BDR will focus on building relationships, prospecting, and closing deals with small to mid-sized businesses (25–300 devices).
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our sales efforts as our first dedicated sales hire. You will work closely with leadership to identify prospects, design tailored solutions, and expand our footprint in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting & Lead Generation:
- Conduct cold calls, send targeted emails, and utilize LinkedIn to identify and qualify potential clients.
- Attend networking events (e.g., Chamber of Commerce meetings) to build relationships and uncover opportunities.
- Leverage lead scraping software and CRM tools to develop and manage a pipeline of qualified leads.
Sales Activities:
- Develop and deliver customized proposals in collaboration with technical staff.
- Present Cyber Shift Technologies’ value proposition to prospective clients.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from initial outreach to contract signing.
Pipeline Management:
- Track all activities and opportunities in the CRM with accurate and timely updates.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets focused on recurring revenue growth.
Collaboration:
- Partner with the owner and technical team to create tailored IT solutions.
- Provide feedback on market trends, client pain points, and competitor offerings to refine our sales strategy.
Qualifications:
- 2–3 years of experience in sales, preferably in IT or technology services (MSP experience is a plus).
- Proven track record of generating leads, closing deals, and meeting/exceeding sales targets.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a consultative sales approach.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and lead generation tools.
- Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Knowledge of SMB and mid-market businesses (25–300 devices) is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $40,000–$50,000 annually, based on experience.
- Commission Plan: Generous tiered commission structure with uncapped earning potential. Details will be shared during the interview process.
