The Assistant Controller will support the financial operations of the organization by overseeing accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records and providing insights to improve financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee the accounting department and ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
- Support the Controller in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial systems, including NetSuite.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide insights to management.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies.
- Coordinate and support audits by external auditors.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification is highly preferred.
- NetSuite experience is preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably as an Assistant Controller or in a senior accounting position.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with financial software, particularly NetSuite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
