Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Defect Associate to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist in handling complex construction defect cases, providing support in litigation and insurance defense related to construction law. This position aims to protect our clients' interests while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior attorneys in the management of construction defect cases from inception through resolution.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on construction law and insurance coverage issues.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents related to construction litigation.
- Manage case files and documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
- Communicate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel to facilitate case progress.
- Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations as necessary.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting construction and insurance industries.
- 500 billable hours a quarter
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active Bar admission in the state of Texas.
- 2-4 years of experience in Construction Defense needed
- Personal Injury litigation experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of construction law and related insurance coverage issues.
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Competitive Base Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 (DOE)
