Position Overview
The Audio-Visual Technician is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio-visual equipment for various events and venues (Town Halls, Founder Tours, etc.). This role ensures that all audio-visual systems function seamlessly, delivering high-quality experiences for both in-person and virtual attendees.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and test audio-visual equipment for events, including microphones, cameras, projectors, and sound systems.
- Operate audio-visual equipment during live events, ensuring optimal sound and video quality.
- Provide technical support for video conferencing and streaming solutions, including Zoom Rooms and other platforms.
- Collaborate with event coordinators to understand the specific audio-visual needs for each event.
- Maintain and troubleshoot all audio-visual equipment, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Assist in the installation and configuration of audio-visual systems for new projects.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in audio-visual technology and recommend improvements for the organization.
- Train staff and users on the proper use of audio-visual equipment and software.
- Proven experience as an Audio-Visual Technician or similar role.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of audio visual systems and equipment (Zoom,GWS,Loom, Neat, QSYS, Logi, & DTEN)
- Familiarity with video conferencing platforms and digital signage solutions.
- Experience with live streaming setups and off-site event support.
- Technical certifications in audio-visual technology (e.g., CTS) are a plus.
- Proficient in using Mac and relevant software such as Canva and Keynote.
