Position Overview
The Automation and Controls Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated control systems and low-voltage systems. This role ensures that all systems operate efficiently and effectively while adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure automated control systems and low-voltage systems in various settings.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in the commissioning of new systems, ensuring they are fully operational before handover.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement control solutions that meet project specifications.
- Document all work performed, including system configurations, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting results.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users and other technicians as needed.
- Associate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in the field of automation and control systems.
- Strong knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and low-voltage systems.
- Experience with commissioning and troubleshooting control systems.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
