Position Overview
The BAS Project Manager will oversee the execution of Building Automation Systems projects from inception to completion, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety are maintained throughout the project lifecycle. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing project budgets, and delivering cost-effective solutions that enhance energy efficiency and building performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage BAS project initiatives from conception to implementation.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met.
- Develop and manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within financial constraints.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
- Identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and cost savings in project designs and implementations.
- Manage the integration of various building systems including HVAC, lighting control, security systems, electrical systems, and shading systems.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards throughout the project.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in project management within the building automation or controls industry.
- Proven track record of managing BAS projects successfully from start to finish.
- Strong knowledge of building automation systems, electrical controls, and energy efficiency practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement and team collaboration.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards related to building systems.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
