Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Small Business Litigation and Transaction Lawyer to provide legal counsel and representation for small business clients. This role involves handling various legal matters related to business transactions, litigation, and contract negotiations, ensuring that our clients' interests are protected and that they are compliant with all applicable laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on business transactions, including drafting and reviewing contracts such as employee contracts, vendor contracts, and business sale agreements.
- Represent clients in litigation matters, from initial case assessment to trial or settlement negotiations.
- Draft and file legal documents related to business litigation and transactions, including pleadings and motions.
- Advise clients on compliance with business regulations and legal risks associated with their operations.
- Negotiate settlements and engage in alternative dispute resolution when appropriate.
- Assist clients with the formation and structure of business entities, including LLC drafting and compliance matters.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business litigation and transaction law.
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating business contracts and agreements.
- Strong understanding of small business legal issues and the ability to provide practical solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
