Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Jr Buyer / Planner to join our dynamic team. The primary purpose of this role is to assist in the procurement of materials and supplies necessary for our manufacturing operations, ensuring timely delivery and optimal inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in purchasing materials and supplies according to production requirements.
- Maintain and monitor inventory levels to ensure compliance with production schedules.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and quality of materials.
- Support the planning and execution of supply chain activities related to materials procurement.
- Assist in the management of the Bill of Materials (BOM) for production needs.
- Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Participate in cost analysis and budget management for purchasing activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- 3 years experience in materials procurement or supply chain management
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and inventory management systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- APICS certification or similar supply chain certification is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with MRO procurement and cost management is preferred
